Dean Klein Speaking at MemCon on Energy-Efficient Memory

On Thursday, July 24 Micron’s Dean Klein will be keynoting at MemCon in Santa Clara, where he will talk about the growing concern of power in all systems these days -- not only battery-operated devices and data centers, but also every power-consuming electronic device in the home and office are targets for power reduction. How does memory power play a role in these systems? And, what can be done with the memory in future architectures to reduce power consumption in handheld, embedded, computing and enterprise systems? During his presentation, Klein will share with the audience some key innovations that can be done in memory and storage to create more energy-efficient designs.

IACI's Environmental Award to Micron Covered by Boise Media

The recent announcement of the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry (IACI) presenting its Environmental Excellence Award this year to Micron Technology for its water recycling program has received coverage in the Boise media market. Annually, the project provides energy savings of 6.6 million kilowatt hours, saves water consumption by 11.9 million gallons and CO2 greenhouse gas emissions by 1,664 tons, and KIVI ABC 6 and KTVB NBC 7 covered news of the announcement. More Patent Prowess from Micron

Micron is annually honored for its patent prowess and innovation in the industry, and this year is no exception. On July 1, the Patent Board came out with its annual technology industry patent rankings, and Micron earned the number two spot in the rankings in the semiconductor category. Micron Recognized for its Environmental Stewardship
