PBS Highlights Micron's Contributions to Virginia's Economic Growth

Micron Technology’s role in the transforming economy, education and demographics of Virginia were highlighted on PBS' NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Site Director Wayne Allan told the network that Micron’s flagship 300-mm DRAM and NAND fab in Manassas was attracted to the region because of the access to highly skilled technical workers and higher education opportunities. Micron Works for Virginia

Micron Technology was recently featured in the fall edition of Northern Virginia Technology Council’s quarterly magazine, The Voice of Technology. Over the past few years, memory chips have surpassed tobacco and coal as the Commonwealth’s largest exports. As such, technology is now a leading driver of state revenue. Micron had the opportunity to discuss the global competitive landscape and the needs of technology manufacturers in Virginia and in the U.S.
