Micron Employee Recognized by Manassas Chamber of Commerce

Micron’s K-12 Program Coordinator Denyse Carroll was recently named the Gold Star Winner by the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce. Carroll was recognized for her leadership and contributions to the organization through community activities, such as school supply drive, the National Young Readers Day and scholarship fundraising. Micron Hosts Shareholders, Discusses Business Environment

At its annual Shareholders Meeting on Dec. 11, Micron executives discussed how the company is not immune to the difficult global market conditions, but the measures the company has taken during the past 24 months have resulted in Micron maintaining a strong position relative to its competitors in the memory industry. Micron Announces Serial NAND Technology

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, Micron announced serial NAND technology for embedded applications. As embedded systems evolve, they are requiring more robust and higher-density memory solutions. Micron’s serial NAND offers a significant cost-per bit advantage when compared to serial NOR, providing increased density, improved write performance and greater scalability, allowing manufacturers to expand their application storage capacity without having to perform a complete system redesign. Micron Innovation Highlighted in Semiconductor International

Micron innovations in through-silicon integration technologies have been highlighted on two occasions recently by Semiconductor International. Micron technologist Gurtej Sandhu's discussion of TSV innovation is featured in a Nov. 29 blog post and Micron technologist Kyle Kirby is quoted in the November issue of Semiconductor International on the topic of TSV.
