In its first high school tournament competition, the Treasure Valley Mathematics and Science Center team challenged 28 other Idaho teams on science and mathematics knowledge to vie for the title of the 19th Annual INL Scholastic Tournament. The state championship tournament recently held in Boise is a qualifier for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl in Washington D.C., April 30 through May 5. The “Jeopardy-style” national competition is expected to attract more than 13,000 high school participants.
INL Scholastic Tournament is supported in part by the Micron Foundation. In 2004, the Micron Foundation helped fund the start-up of the Treasure Valley Mathematics and Science Center, a partnership between the Boise and Meridian School Districts.
Congratulations to the Treasure Valley Mathematics and Science Center team!
